Group Visits

School classes, youth groups, bird and environmental clubs, retirees, etc. can schedule special tours for weekends or weekdays. A donation is expected, and advance arrangements are required.

Students and accompanying educators from Rochelle High School, Jackson Elementary School in Rockford and Forreston Elementary School, 26 area Boy and Girl Scouts, 9 adults from Rock Valley College Center for Learning in Retirement and 20-25 adults from Starved Rock Audubon Society and 30 children and adults for a birthday party participated in SBBO’s educational outreach program. All were attentive and excited to see and release a bird and learn about the banding process and it’s purpose.
